To be a great founder, there are a lot of skills you have to acquire and many more obstacles you have to overcome.
If you ask me to be an exponential founder, you must be a great leader first.
The main trait of a great leader is the ability to transmit his and the company's vision to the team.
To achieve big things, you must have a certain degree of boldness.
To believe that something will succeed when the majority don’t see how.
Take as an example Elon. Back in 2008, Elon met with Munger to discuss potential investments in Tesla. Munger told the whole table all the ways Tesla would fail. Even though the comment made Elon quite sad, he thought Tesla’s mission was still worth trying. Today, Tesla is a multibillion-dollar company.
Robert Greene on boldness:
"If you are unsure of a course of action, do not attempt it. Your doubts and hesitations will infect your execution. Timidity is dangerous: Better to enter with boldness. Any mistakes you commit through audacity are easily corrected with more audacity. Everyone admires the bold; no one honors the timid." - Law 28, 48 Laws of Power - Robert Greene
It’s easy to stay bold and confident when the whole world supports you.
But what is even easier is to refuse the possibility of failure if you don’t question your boldness.
Staying bold to the point that you neglect reality is dangerous.
"The more an idea is tied to your identity, the more you will ignore evidence it is false. To continue to grow and learn, you must be willing to update, expand, and edit your identity.” - James Clear
The masters know when to be bold and when to take a step back and listen for feedback.
The grandmaster knows that the peak of boldness is the time to retreat.
The peak of confidence is the time to start questioning your beliefs.

But be sure that no doubt is good too early.
And no boldness is good for too long.
We, as humans, like to push in extremes.
Eather it’s black or white.
And yes, I agree. It is easier to live life through this type of lens.
But we must recognize when the black doesn’t shine black and when white becomes ivory.
True leader pushes the boundaries, absorbs the environment, and creates a malleable reality.
He expands, then consolidates, always moving forward in the right direction.
Love you all,
Andela
