My Thoughts:

The year 2023 was the most challenging year for me. I was living the death in real-time. It’s somewhat weird to say that, knowing that the previous years were way harder for me on paper, but this one, oh God…I think this year is when all last years united and broke me apart. There was nothing I couldn’t fix on my own until 2023 happened. I always thought, “I am Angela; I am unbreakable.” Physically and intellectually, everything is right, but mind and soul are messed up in ways that are not explainable by any words…

The taller we grow the deeper we need to be in the ground. -Sherry Ning

I was agonized by fear of not making it while deeply being broken, which put me in a place of unrest and misery. I wanted so much, but my nervous system couldn’t hold any progress. I would shut down every time my nervous system detected growth, even the slightest. This leads to a vicious, never-ending cycle of me wanting more for myself, my nervous system shutting down, and me feeling hopeless. I had to heal first before moving on. If there were one word to describe this year, it would be CONSOLIDATION.

8 Questions to Answer:

  1. What did I change my mind about this year?

    1. Slowing down is healthy and beneficial to my growth. “Slow down the pace of life. Speed up execution.”

    2. You can’t push indefinitely forward without resting. Each time you go beyond your limits, it feels good since progress is addictive. But what you gain immediately, you pay later down the road.

    3. Emotional healing and “doing the inner work” is the real thing. I spent my first 22 years improving intellectually and physically, but I never thought about my soul or spiritual health. My spiritual health is No1 priority moving forward.

    4. I want to live a soft life and be a slightly spoiled wife, even if others judge me for that.

    5. I don’t choose to be creative. Creativity chooses me.

    6. You can first become somebody and then grow your social accounts fast, rather than slowly growing accounts as a nobody while you don’t become somebody. I would instead focus all my energy on building while warming up my content production skills. People need social proof to respect you.

    7. Human nature is universal. Wealthy people cry, get sick, and encounter the same thoughts as Marcus Aurelius a thousand years ago.

    8. Mother was right; people remember who was there for you when you were at your lowest.

      1. Who called when your family member passed away? Who was there when you were sick or heartbroken? Who was there when father was in jail?

  3. What created energy this year?

    1. Time spent alone in nature, plant meds, reflecting, ice baths, breathing exercises… My time spent in Trebinje is the best representation of this.

    2. Also, what helped me was breathing exercises, prayers, writing, and long walks.

    3. Funny enough, I realized I perform best in short sprints with a big day off once a month. I need jumping, laughing, and singing so I can be disciplined when needed.

  4. What drained energy this year?

    1. Business meetings and calls, fights with Vasilije, entering into arguments with family members, and time spent with toxic, boring “friends.”

    2. Also, stressing out what I would wear at weddings. REMINDER: buy a lot of clothes in 2024. Go shopping regularly.

  5. Who were the boat anchors in my life?

    1. I was my most giant anchor, along with my limited beliefs. No friends, family, or business partners should be able to influence the mission and vision I have for myself.

  6. What did I not do because of fear?

    1. I didn’t move from my parent's house for a whole year because of my fear of my mental health getting worse when being alone. Honestly, I was scared I would do something to myself if my mind went loco.

Bank Statements

My sister sent me $100 in December so I can keep my account running. Sadly, I sent her money just a year ago because I had way more money than she had, and she is in college. This is an excellent example of how much can change in a year.

I have a little more crypto on the side that I will put on my bank accounts in January of 2024 so I can keep functioning day to day. I am excited to see how I can 100x it. The bigger the struggle, the more hyped I get.

Thank you, 2023, for all your challenges, insights, and blessings. I will remember you forever!

Until next year,

Angy <3
